Step 3 - The Reopening

According to Monday's announcement from the government, the roadmap is on track and the planned Step 3 easements will go ahead on 17th May (next Monday), the Prime Minister has confirmed.

The majority of the indoor and remaining outdoor economy can reopen, and gathering limits will increase indoors and outdoors too. This includes “indoor hospitality”, HURRAH! We will be allowed to eat inside, and that includes restaurants in hotels too!

Up to 6 people or 2 households will be able to meet indoors and up to 30 people outdoors. Up to 30 people will now be able to attend weddings, receptions, and...

As we emerge from Lockdown and what has been a super stressful time for everyone, we thought it was worth highlighting this amazing social enterprise that does great work within the hospitality industry.

The Burnt Chef Project’s sole intention is to eradicate mental health stigma within the hospitality industry.

In a survey of 1273 hospitality professionals, 8 out of 10 them reported having experienced at least one mental health issue during their career. That’s an astonishing statistic. Read it again. That means that if you went to a restaurant to eat and they had 10 staff there, 8 of them...

INTRODUCTION COURSE IN TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT (TTMBC)

We have an INTRODUCTION COURSE in Traffic Management known as Temporary Traffic Management Basic Course (TTMBC) here at our Cullompton office. This is happening on Saturday 6th March - The course fee is £120.

We are running one course in the morning and another one in the afternoon. So, if you're looking for a route in to Traffic Management, we can get you that first rung on the ladder. 

We will be adhering to the strict guidelines issued by the Government, around social distancing and cleanliness. Equally, we expect all attendees of the course to adhere to the strict guidelines too.

Welcome to 2021 and it would appear that we will be starting as we left 2020 not that long ago.

Of course, we have something to look forward to in the coming months with the roll out of the vaccines which will hopefully enable us all to slowly return to a normal kind of life. Remember what that was like before face masks, constant hand cleansing and of course a cheeky pint after work?

So, the hospitality industry has been up and running (kind of) since Lockdown was lifted, for a couple of months now. Doors were flung open, staff unfurloughed, orders placed with wholesalers and everyone was keen to return to some kind of normal.

The Eat Out to Help Out scheme was introduced by the Government, and the general public flooded back in their droves to their favourite establishments. Regardless of your thoughts on the new ‘rule of 6’, if you want to be compliant and run an establishment properly, here are all the rules and regulations gathered together in one useful place; we hope you find it useful.

Pubs, bars, cafes, restaurants, hotels and more can finally fling open their doors and welcome everyone back inside.

On Friday 20th March 2020, the Prime Minister ordered all cafes, pubs and restaurants to close, to help tackle coronavirus. The following Monday (23rd), the general public were instructed to stay at home too. Lockdown was in full effect.

Tuesday, 24th December - 8.30 - 1pm

Wednesday, 25th - Friday 27th December - Closed

Monday, 30th December - Thursday, 2nd January 2020 - Closed

Friday, 03 January, 2020 - Open                  

During the period we are closed there will be an answerphone for you to leave any messages for us on our return to work.
