Founded in the 5th Century, today Brighton is one of the largest towns in England and renown as a fashionable and popular seaside resort. Brighton was granted City status in 2000 by the Queen as part of the millennium celebrations.

Brighton is an English seaside resort town. About an hour south of London by train, it's a popular day-trip destination. Its broad shingle beach is backed by amusement arcades and Regency-era buildings. Brighton Pier, in the central waterfront section, opened in 1899 and now has rides and food kiosks. The town is also known for its nightlife, arts scene, shopping and festivals.

Reputedly voted one of the Top 10 city beach break destinations in the world, Brighton & its beachfront cool are legendary and as night time rolls in fun mixes seamlessly with night time funky beachside club culture,  nestling underneath the Victorian beachfront arches, for some of the best club nights in the country. You'll also find some great galleries & art in the Artists' Quarter on the lower promenade.

As well as a large boho, alternative, gay and cosmopolitan community it also has a large student community and is subject to having a lot of seasonal visitors. In short: there are many different versions of Brighton. The two Universities have approximately 30,000 students between them and that is without the colleges as well.

Its close proximately to London (only 1 hour by train) means that there is always something going on in Brighton. It’s not just bars or clubs, Brighton has a great and very varied food offering due to its mix of people.

Everybody must have seen the Pier or the Royal Pavilions at some stage in their life, heard of Brighton & Hove Albion or maybe the Brighton Bears (sadly no longer). Brighton has a busy race course (horses) and a fully stocked marina. Why not catch a show at the beautiful Theatre Royal or the Dome or maybe a concert at the Brighton Centre.

Dean Croft, our MD, grew up in the Brighton area and first had a Brighton office in 1996. He is also for the record very much a Brighton and Hove Albion supporter
