Paramount Personnel are looking for a Sous Chef for a small hotel in a very affluent area of Cornwall with an enviable reputation and a well established kitchen.
Our client is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Sous Chef, or a strong Senior Chef de Partie looking for the next step in their career, and has immediate start available. Working under a talented Head Chef, you’ll have a proven background in a professional kitchen and will be looking to learn and develop your skills. The food offering is relaxed serving quality dishes that showcase the best locally sourced Cornish ingredients.
The right candidate will have a positive attitude, be enthusiastic, able to cover the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence as well as understand stock control and ordering procedures. You’ll be responsible for the supervision, preparation and service of food, ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times in keeping with the Hotel’s high standards. You will also be required to ensure that strict hygiene regulations are adhered to.
You’ll first and foremost have a passion for food, be extremely hard working and be excited by developing new menus and ideas with a focus on seasonality and quality produce. Our client has high standards however the most important ingredient they are looking for is a passion for the kitchen and a desire to be the best.
