Last night, Monday 27th March, the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony was held at the Silverstone Circuit in Northamptonshire. We can now announce all of the new Michelin Star and Green Star Award winners in the MICHELIN Guide Great Britain & Ireland 2023.
Restaurants awarded with three stars represent the highest fine dining, and as the guide states “people travel the world to experience such restaurants.” Although there were no three-star winners this year, each restaurant that already had three stars retained its status this year. The guide states that by winning the two stars “elevates your restaurant to be one of the best in the world. And so, here are the 2023 two star winners!

With twenty restaurants winning one star this year, this is the largest category of winners. Restaurants that are awarded one star offer a slightly more affordable way into this style of dining. At Paramount Personnel we dived into what it takes to win a Michelin star and according to the guide there are five main criteria restaurants must adhere to. These include using quality products, mastery of flavour and cooking techniques, the personality of the chef in the cuisine, value for money, and consistency of food.
